Ramona Singer’s ‘never been happier’ since leaving RHONY and reveals all about Avery’s new business

Since she was 11, Bravo cameras were rolling in Avery Singer’s home as her mom, Ramona, famously starred on the Real Housewives of New York. Despite the leg up,  the now 27-year-old was adamant about not riding ‘off my mom’s coattails’ and carving her own path to success.

A natural born entrepreneur, Avery exclusively sat down with DailyMail.com to dish about the launch of her first company, BachBoss, a bespoke bachelorette and bachelor party planning service.

Meanwhile, Ramona – who has ‘never been happier’ since stepping away from the Housewives – gushed about her only child’s success and discussed what is next for her after 13 dramatic seasons on TV. ‘They didn’t tell me what to do, I just knew how to create [drama],’ Ramona divulged. ‘Was that the real me? Not really. Was it me on steroids? Absolutely.’ 

Housewives fans watched Avery Singer grow up on RHONY but as an adult, the budding business mogul, took the professional path less traveled by the children of celebrities. 

Even as a preteen, Avery knew she wanted to go to a good college and make her own way. She would go on to graduate from the prestigious University of Virginia and work in finance for Morgan Stanley and Neuberger Berman before pivoting to tech.

‘I’ve always kind of been on my own path. My mom taught me to be financially independent and I’ve always seen her kind of hustle and be entrepreneurial with the show,’ she said. ‘I went to college. I never really fully tried to be Instagram famous or ride off my mom’s coattails.’

After spending several years in the corporate world, Avery and her best friend Jolie were serving as co-maids of honor for a pal’s wedding when lightening struck. They had organized an epic bachelorette weekend  – remarkably without the typical stress, drama and arguments over money – and the two immediately thought it would make a fruitful business model.

‘My favorite thing to do is make itineraries,’ Avery said. ‘The silver lining of my parents getting divorced is I’ve now done mother-daughter trips and father-daughter trips. We go to countries or cities we’ve both never been before and I just show up like a whole itinerary of where we’re staying, what we’re doing.’

Singer is combining her love of itinerary planning and business acumen and combined it with Jolie’s esthetic eye to launch their event company, BachBoss.

Their company takes the guesswork and headache out of organizing by tailoring each bachelorette or bachelor weekend to the ‘group’s specific needs, interests, and budget’ with an expertly curated itinerary. 

‘I’ve heard horror stories of just, you know, nothing is planned, nothing is prepared, people are spending way too much money; they show up and nothing is organized,’ Avery mused. ‘Being able to have a third party to just kind of check the pulse, to make sure everyone feels comfortable – because the last thing we want to do is for some people to really spend beyond their means.’

The cost is a flat fee ranging from $25-$125+ per person depending on which tier is selected. ‘For some people, [planning] is stress and anxiety,’ Avery said. ‘But for me, I am obsessed and I love it and I want to make it my full time thing.’

Meanwhile, Ramona, 66, who has an extremely close relationship with her daughter, was bursting with pride over the new endeavor.  

‘I am proud of her because the one thing I always want to instill in her is to be financially independent,’ the Ageless by Ramona mogul said. ‘Love what you do and money will come and nothing is better than being able to work for yourself.

Ramona is looking forward to her next chapter now that she has exited the Housewives universe and recently got her real estate license.

‘I’m 60 something now, I worked hard my whole life,’ she said. ‘It’s time for me just to enjoy myself. And doing the show is not easy. I mean, people think it’s easy. Very stressful, very stressful.’ 

Last year, Bravo essentially fired the entire RHONY cast and replaced them with a new crop of women while sidelining the last season cast into a spin-off, RHONY: Legacy. 

‘Bravo made the unilateral decision to get rid of everybody,’ she reflected. ‘Just dismiss all of us with it.’ 

‘I can control my own narrative and, you know, I’m happier now and actually I’m calmer,’ Ramona added. ‘I don’t miss it at all. It was a great experience and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.’

‘I’m 60 something now, I worked hard my whole life,’ Ramona said. ‘It’s time for me just to enjoy myself. And doing the show is not easy. I mean, people think it’s easy. Very stressful, very stressful.’

The mother-daughter duo are also working together on a new project following the success of their free Empower Yourself zoom class. 

They’re turning it into a paid online course which will focus on four pillars: confidence, business, financial independence and networking. 

‘A portion of the proceeds will go to a domestic abuse charity because my mom grew up in a violent home,’ Avery said, adding that she’s excited for Ramona to showcase her ‘business, entrepreneurial confidence.’

‘I’m very blessed. I’m very blessed with life … with everything,’ Ramona said. ‘I really am very blessed and I’ve been living a very full life. And you know what? I plan to live to 100 and just die in my sleep healthy.’
