Rapper Mac Miller is thought to have been dead for hours before his body was discovered in his bedroom after an apparent overdose, it was revealed today.
The 26-year-old rap star, real name Malcolm McCormick, was found dead in his bedroom at his house in the San Fernando Valley area of LA last Friday.
Police investigating his death are now said to be looking into a party Mac held at his home the night before he died.

Emergency services swarmed his home in LA last Friday after Miller was found unresponsive in his bedroom
Law enforcement sources have told TMZ that they believe he had died a long time before officers arrived at the scene following a 911 call.
It is believed he died from an overdose but his death certificate states the cause of death is still unknown listed as ‘deferred’.
The exact cause of death is not expected to be known until a full toxicology report has been finalized in four to six weeks.
Soon after the 911 call came in, LAPD and Fire officials swarmed the scene and the performer was pronounced dead at his home.
It was initially thought he suffered a cardiac arrest but that could have been because the emergency caller did not realize he was already dead, it was said.
He was believed to have died from a drug overdose, but today police found just a tiny amount of white powder in his home, according to TMZ.
Sources told the website that Miller’s home had been virtually ‘swept clean’ which they say would make ‘no sense’ as someone who had overdosed would not have the foresight to clear their house of paraphernalia.
A statement from Miller’s family last week said: ‘Malcolm McCormick, known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26.
‘He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans. Thank you for your prayers. Please respect our privacy. There are no further details as to the cause of his death at this time.’
