A rare Tesla semi truck prototype was spotted in Santa Clara, California last week.
The highly anticipated vehicles will not be released to the public until 2019, but the matte black prototype was briefly spotted cruising the streets.
Its parent company Elon Musk has already taken hundreds of orders for the semi truck.

The cheapest version has a 300 mile range, whereas the 500 mile range clocks in at $180,000.
The trucks have a carbon fiber cab, a centrally-mounted driving position and a 0-60 mph time of 20 seconds when its fully loaded.
