Rashee Rice’s lawyer set to hold news conference in Dallas after Chiefs Super Bowl winner finally took responsibility for multivehicle smash with social media statement

Rashee Rice’s lawyer is set to hold a news conference in Dallas on Thursday afternoon, updating the public on the multiple-vehicle hit-and-run crash the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver was involved in last weekend.

The conference is expected to start at 2:30 Eastern time with Rice’s lawyer, State Sen. Royce West, speaking in front of the media.

A public update comes one day after Rice personally spoke on the situation, finally taking responsibility for his role in the incident.

‘Today I met with Dallas PD investigators regarding Saturday’s accident,’ Rice said in a social media statement.

‘I take full responsibility for my part in this matter and will continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities. I sincerely apologize to everyone impacted in Saturday’s accident,’ Rice continued.

The crash involved six vehicles on Saturday, which injured at least four people and left multiple vehicles damaged, per local police.

Rice’s interview with the Dallas Police Department on Wednesday is believed to be the first time he spoke with authorities on the incident.

Dallas PD have confirmed its investigation of the accident is ongoing.

Rice’s exact involvement in the crash is still unclear. The two cars speeding in the incident, a Lamborghini Urus and a Chevrolet Corvette are registered, leased, or were rented to him.

Rice is originally from North Richland Hills, Texas, a Dallas suburb and played college football at Southern Methodist University, who recently joined the ACC.
