Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson finally addressed his vulgar tweet from the aftermath of Sunday’s loss, telling reporters on Friday that he was ‘bitter’ about the defeat, and ultimately apologizing.

‘I was just reacting at the time,’ Jackson said Friday. ‘I was mad.’

Jackson, who can become a free agent after the season, came across a critical tweet following Sunday’s 28-27 loss to Jacksonville. Kicker Justin Tucker had a chance to win it for Baltimore at the end of regulation, but his 67-yard field goal fell short, prompting online attacks against the Ravens’ offense.

‘When someone is asking for over 250 mil guaranteed like @Lj_era8… games like this should not come to @jtuck9,’ one user wrote, referencing Jackson’s reported contract demands.

‘Let Lamar walk and spend that money on a well rounded team.’

The former NFL MVP responded in a since-deleted tweet: ‘Boy STFU y’all be cappin too much on this app mf never smelt a football field never did s*** but eat d***.’

Jackson hadn’t been made available since the situation since Sunday.

‘I was just reacting at the time. I was mad. I wasn’t thinking about actions,’ he said. ‘It was like, bitter. I was bitter. I feel like you should be bitter after a loss though. No smiles. In fact, the fans should be mad we lost too, but not mad at us. We tried.

‘But it happened. I apologize, if I hurt feelings out there.

‘I just busted my behind — my whole team did, coaches did — and that’s what I seen, and I just reacted to it,’ he said. ‘My bad.’

Jackson said his girlfriend recommended he delete the tweet.

When asked what he learned from this episode, Jackson said: ‘There’s kids watching. I don’t need the kids saying that. Just watch what you say. Try to stay off Twitter if something like that happens again. Hopefully we’re not losing no more.’

Earlier this week, Ravens coach John Harbaugh said he tells players to avoid Twitter so soon after a game — especially a loss.

‘We talk a lot about football, but we also talk a little bit about that stuff too — what goes on in terms of the media and everything, and really, it’s just, beg guys not to get into the Twitter world right after the game, especially after a loss,’ Harbaugh said. ‘It’s never going to be positive. It’s not going to be a nice place, and I think that’s kind of reflected in Lamar’s response.

‘… He wants to win. I’m sure he’s frustrated, just like we all are, and that’s just a place you just don’t want to live right after a game. I know he understands that.’
