This is the shocking moment a group of football fans let off a smoke bomb on board a train just 24 hours after the Parsons Green terror strike.

The fans, believed to have been supporters of Reading FC, were filmed in high spirits on board the train ahead of their team’s 1-1 draw in Brentford.

Several fans are seen on the short clip on board the train chanting a Reading FC song.

A group of men thought to be Reading FC fans were filmed chanting on a train yesterday

At the same time, an unidentified individual let off a smoke bomb onboard the train

One person, who does not appear on the video, is believed to have set off the smoke bomb.

British Transport Police are appealing for help from the public to help track down the person responsible for letting off the smoke bomb.

According to the Reading Chronicle, some of those on the short video clip, who are not involved in letting off the smoke bomb, are singing Reading FC chants.

The incident happened less than a day after a suspected terrorist attempted to detonate a Mother of Satan bomb on board a District Line train at Parsons Green.

The device failed to properly detonate, although a fireball swept through the carriage injuring 30 people.

Two men have been arrested in connection with Friday’s terrorist attack.

Twitter users were quick to condemn the incident.

One user said: ‘After yesterday’s tube incident! This shows a great deal of maturity and responsibility. Embarassing!’

Another added: ‘That is a ridiculously stupid thing to do.’

British Transport Police urged anyone onboard the train to come forward and provide them with additional details about what happened.

Officers are currently trawling through CCTV footage from trains heading towards Brentford ahead of yesterday’s game.

A spokesman said: ‘We want to speak to anyone who was onboard the train yesterday. Anyone with information can text 61016 or call 0800 405 040.’
