Real estate agent suffers gruesome injuries after being viciously mauled by two bullmastiff dogs during a house inspection

A real estate agent who was mauled by two bullmastiff dogs during a house inspection has been left with a fractured arm and wounds to her legs.

Joanne Hayes, 49, was set upon by the aggressive dogs moments after stepping into the Central Coast home at about 10.15am on Thursday.

The man who owned the home and the two vicious dogs was at work at the time of the attack, despite the agent having a pre-booked appointment.

Paramedics treated the 49-year-old at the scene before she was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition by CareFlight rescue crew

Neighbours rushed to Ms Hayes’ rescue and managed to pull the pets off her.

Wiseberry Peninsula director Troye Howe told the Central Coast Gosford Express Advocate this was the first time a staff member had been attacked. 

‘The staff [here] are deeply shocked, we are all extremely upset,’ Mr Howe said.

Both of the dogs were euthanised.
