She’s a former CNN anchor and one of the new stars on the Real Housewives of Melbourne.
And on Sunday night’s episode, Anjali Rao came out as bisexual to co-star Kyla Kirkpatrick, revealing how the few people she’s told remark that it’s ‘sooo sexy’.
The 47-year-old, who has interviewed the likes of Kevin Spacey and Bill Clinton, said she had to keep her past relationships with women ‘very secret’ due to her career.

‘It’s a new thing for me, but I am openly bisexual,’ Anjali told Kyla over Champagne.
She went on to reveal how a scorned ex-partner shared her secret when their split became messy.
‘I kept it hidden for forever until a couple of years ago, I got out of the worst relationship of my life. And the person decided to destroy me by outing me to everybody,’ Anjali said.
Kyla offered her support by saying: ‘You know, your true friends don’t matter which way you swing, we love you no matter what!’

Anjali revealed in a piece to camera how she’s turned the betrayal into something positive.
‘So since that person outed me, I decided to use that in a positive way. I couldn’t be happier to be in this position and go, “I’m bisexual and I love it”,’ she said.
Anjali added how people she’s told often find it ‘sooo sexy’ and that she’s got more chances of a fairytale ending now that she’s got ‘double the options’.
While she had to keep her lovers a mystery while working as an anchor for CNN, Anjali couldn’t help but boast how the high-flying job saw her owning three yachts.

‘To go into a world like Housewives was different, particularly when I am an entirely self made woman – professionally, financially, all of it – I didn’t have to hook up with somebody or marry someone to have it.
‘You can have your diamonds, I’ve got my brain,’ she added.
Anjali also told the publication that the cast was shocked that she hadn’t undergone cosmetic procedures.
‘The others couldn’t believe I’d never had Botox. I think anybody who says they go into any reality show not frightened or nervous in some way, is a liar or an idiot,’ she added.
