Real Madrid are interested in signing Borussia Dortmund striker Karim Adeyemi, according to reports.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are in dire need of a new forward after Karim Benzema brought his 14-year stay in the Spanish capital to an end to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad.

The LaLiga giants are tracking Adeyemi with a view to making a move for him this summer as reported by Sportbild.

However, Real will have to pay £68.4million if they are to sign the Germany international, who impressed in his first season for Dortmund.

The report states it’s difficult to see the 14-time Champions League winners paying that fee as it could be too costly for them.

Real Madrid are in need of a new striker after Karim Benzema completed a move to Al-Ittihad

A move to Real would see Adeyemi reunite with Jude Bellingham, who completed his move to the Bernabeu this week for £113million.

Adeyemi joined Borussia Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg last summer and notched nine goals and six assists in 32 matches across all competitions.

He has also been capped by Germany four times, scoring one goal in the process.

The 21-year-old has four years remaining on his contract at Signal Iduna and Dortmund will be keen to keep him at the club.

Real are keen to strengthen in attack having lost Marco Asensio, Eden Hazard and Mariano Diaz so far this summer.

The Spanish giants are keen on Kylian Mbappe who told PSG he has no intention of signing fresh terms beyond 2024.

Real will be keen to fight on all fronts again next season following a disappointing campaign that saw them win just Copa del Rey having lost the LaLiga title to Barcelona and knocked out of the Champions League by eventual winners Manchester City.
