Real Madrid have reportedly entered the race to sign Juventus star Federico Chiesa next summer. 

The £86million-rated Italian winger starred for Roberto Mancini’s side at Euro 2020, helping the Azzurri win the tournament with a series of stellar performances. 

He has continued to excel in Serie A – picking up interest from several European giants including Newcastle United and Chelsea.

According to reports in Spain, Real Madrid are prepared to go head-to-head with Newcastle and Chelsea in the transfer race to sign Chiesa.  

Chiesa is currently on loan at the Allianz Stadium from Fiorentina for the second season running. 

It is believed Juventus are ready to activate the £35m option to buy clause, with £8.5m in add-ons, and sign him on a permanent, three-year contract.

Therefore, Real Madrid, Newcastle and Chelsea will have to work their magic to prise him away from the Italian club.  

The Blues have already had their opening bid of £85m rejected – although they are expected to return with an improved offer. 

Meanwhile, Newcastle believe they have what it takes to lure Chiesa to the club following their £305m Saudi takeover.
