‘We are all Vinicius, enough already!’: Real Madrid fans unveil banner in support of Brazilian forward ahead of clash against Rayo Vallecano, with the 22-year-old taking to the field to thank fans for their support pre-match

Real Madrid fans have shown their solidarity to Vinicius Jr who received racist abuse during their 1-0 defeat by Valencia at the weekend.
The Brazilian, who has been the subject of racial discrimination on numerous occasions this season, took to the field before the game to pay his thanks to the fans for their support.
A banner was seen in the Bernabeu which read ‘Vinicius somos todos, basta ya!’ which translates into, ‘We are all Vinicius, enough already!’
His team-mates were seen wearing Real Madrid shirts with his name and the No 20 on the back as a show of solidarity to the forward.
Alongside their opposition, Rayo Vallecano, Carlo Ancelotti’s side held up a red banner that read: ‘Racists out of football.’
During the game, fans rose out of their seats to applaud the forward on the 20th minute of the match, in homage to his shirt number.
The Brazilian again showed his appreciation standing up to give a thumbs up to the supporters around the Bernabeu.
It comes after Vinicius Jr was subejected to racial discrimination during Real Madrid’s 1-0 defeat by Valencia at the weekend.
The 22-year-old has been subjected to racial abuse throughout the season, with LaLiga reportedly filing their eighth claim to authorities after he suffered racial insults during Madrid’s 2-1 Clasico defeat in March.
Following the game against Valencia, Vinicius wrote a post on his Instagram saying ‘LaLiga belongs to the racists’ and condemned the Spanish league’s lack of action over the incidents that have happened this season.
‘It wasn’t the first time, not the second and not the third. Racism is normal in La Liga,’ he wrote. ‘The competition thinks it’s normal, so does the Federation and the opponents encourage it. I am soo sorry.’

‘A beautiful nation, which welcomed me and I love, but which accepted to export the image to the world from a racist country.
‘Sorry for the Spaniards who do not agree, but today, in Brazil, Spain is known as a country of racists. And unfortunately with everything that happens on a weekly basis, I have no way to defend.
‘I agree. But I’m strong and will go to the end against the racists. Even though its far from here.’
