Real Madrid fans have put together an unusual tifo that they hope will inspire their team to a dramatic comeback against Arsenal tonight.

Real head into the second leg at the Bernabeu with a three-goal deficit to overturn after Declan Rice led Arsenal to an emphatic victory at the Emirates last week.

With a spot in the Champions League semi-finals at stake, the Spanish giants know they need to produce something special to turn the tie on its head, and they are set to have the full backing of the Bernabeu crowd.

When the players take to the pitch, there will be a tifo covering the entire south stand that will depict a chess player with a crown on his head.

It is understood that the board represents the Champions League, while the pieces refer to the teams Real have faced in the competition.

One of them is covered in red to represent Arsenal, with the supposed king taking it out to signify a glorious victory.

The tifo will be accompanied by a seven-word message that will read: ‘The factory of dreams, make yours Real’.

Fans have also been encouraged to wear the colours most associated with Real – white, purple and yellow – to create an intimidating atmosphere for Mikel Arteta’s men.

Real often spark into life at this point in the season, but their campaign is in danger of falling apart.

They remain in the hunt for three trophies, but find themselves four points behind Barcelona in the LaLiga title race, while they will also face their arch-rivals in the Copa del Rey final later this month.

Their Champions League hopes are hanging by a thread after last week’s drubbing in north London, but the players remain convinced that they can progress to the last four.

Jude Bellingham revealed on Tuesday that the word ‘Remontada’ – which translates to ‘comeback’ – has been bouncing around the Real dressing room in recent days.

Vinicius Jr then took to Instagram on Tuesday night to write ‘Tomorrow. 9pm,’ with the Brazilian seemingly ready to put in a big performance after being kept quiet in the first leg.
