They face PSG in the Champions League in what could prove a season-defining fixture
With the La Liga title out of reach and the Copa del Rey off the table, the competition is vital
Real are 17 points off league leaders Barcelona, and could only come second in their Champions League group after being bested by Tottenham Hotspur.
PSG, meanwhile, scored a competition record 25 goals in their six group games, finishing above Bayern Munich in their pool.
As a result, two of the favourites for the competition have been drawn together in what is the stand out fixture of the round of 16 this season.

Toni Kroos believes Real can overcome their poor form and beat PSG if they ‘trust’ themselves
Kroos told Marca: ‘We’re facing one of the best goalkeepers, four of the best defenders, three of the best midfielders and three of the best strikers.
‘They’re a complex team, they’re very good but it isn’t only about the attack with them. Of course they’re good in that area, and fast. They score a lot of goals but we are concentrating on our own game.
‘We also have magnificent defenders, midfielders, strikers and a great goalkeeper ourselves. It is about trusting ourselves in what we do. That will be the most important thing.’
