Reality star reveals the surprise secret behind her luscious locks – but it is not for the faint-hearted

Skye Wheatley shared the secret behind her luscious blonde locks on Monday, revealing she gets a $450 weekly vitamin injection done at home.

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia winner, 30, posted a video to her Instagram Stories which saw her sitting at her dining table as she received a Biotin shot.

Boasting incredible benefits for hair, the influencer has so far had five weekly treatments of the vitamin infusion, which she claimed has made her tresses ‘so much healthier’.

In the clip, Skye could be seen wearing a cap pulled down low over her face as she quietly sang to herself while receiving her fifth and final injection.

‘My last shot! Honestly my hair feels so soft and I’ve noticed it looks so much healthier!’ she captioned the video.

Skye received the injection, administered by ReVita Drip founder Ashleigh Carr, in her upper arm.

According to the Mayo clinic, Biotin is a B vitamin which helps metabolise amino acids and carbohydrates, and helps create fatty acids and glucose.

ReVita Drip claims ‘after just 5 weekly treatments’ clients can see a ‘noticeable improvement’ in their ‘hair thickness, length, smoothness and overall health’.

Despite receiving vitamin injections to help with her hair health, Skye has been very open in the past about the fact she wears hair extensions.

As recently as 2020, the blonde beauty accepted a sponsorship for ZALA Hair Extensions which led to an embarrassing social media gaffe.

Flaunting her stunning long extensions in an Instagram post at the time, Skye appeared to have copy and pasted a suggested caption from the haircare brand.

The Big Brother star didn’t check her caption before publishing, as she awkwardly included instructions from the brand that had paid for the post.

The caption read: ‘Being a mum, if I want to zhoosh myself it has to be quick and easy with my @zala_hair_extensions Halo. It adds that extra volume to my hair and at 24″ lots of length, plus it saves me so much time getting ready!

‘Best quality hair I have ever owned! Use code SKYE4ZALA to save. (emojis).’

In the text, she included ‘(emojis)’ where she should have inserted her own emojis, revealing she may have just copy and pasted a suggested caption from ZALA.
