Kim Kardashian is moving into the world of investing by launching her own private equity firm.

The reality TV star, who is known for her appearances alongside her family in the reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians and its successor The Kardashians, has teamed up with Jay Sammons, the former head of consumer investing at private equity outfit The Carlyle Group.

Together they are launching SKKY Partners, which will target investments in the consumer, luxury, hospitality and digital commerce sectors, as well as the media and entertainment industry.

‘The exciting part is to sit down with these founders and figure out what their dream is,’ 41-year-old Kardashian said.

‘I want to support what that is, not change who they are in their DNA.’

Sammons previously invested in Beats, the headphone brand founded by US rapper Dr Dre, as well as clothing label Supreme.
