Rebecca Gibney shocks as the beloved actress shares confronting image of black eye following devastating injury
Rebecca Gibney stunned her fans on Tuesday by sharing a painful looking photo of the black eye she incurred several years ago.
The Halifax f.p. star, 58, posted the distressing snap to Instagram, which captures her bruised right eye and stitched up eyebrow as she told fans how the injury occurred.
‘We were going on holiday and we stopped overnight and in the morning I slipped in the shower and smacked my eye on the metal door,’ she began.
‘Lots of blood, lots of stitches, and years later, a scar. Scars are a reminder of things past. Often traumatic, but always surmountable.’
She then added the permanent scar the injury left served as a reminder of the hardship she had successfully overcome.
