Rebel Wilson admits she was BANNED from Disneyland

Rebel Wilson admitted that she got banned from Disneyland after taking an ‘illegal photo’ inside one of the parks secret bathrooms on Friday.

The actress, 43, who got engaged to girlfriend Ramona Agrum at the California theme park, claimed she was asked to stay away after breaking the rules.

It comes after she thanked Disney CEO Bob Iger for allowing her to propose there when he granted his permission for her to pop to question at the resort.

Speaking on The Daily Show she revealed: ‘I did get banned from Disneyland for 30 days because I took a photo inside a secret bathroom, which is illegal, at Disneyland.’

But Rebel admitted Disneyland bosses worked the punishment around her schedule so she didn’t have to miss the theme park too much.

She continued: ‘I got officially banned for 30 days. They called me up and said, “Rebel what 30 days did you not want to come to Disneyland because you’re away filming a movie or something?”

‘And I was like, “Oh, well, June would be fine,”‘ she quipped.

As well as teasing the existence of ‘secret bathrooms’, the actress also revealed the theme park is home to ‘gangs of adults’

Rebel added that the group have ‘cool names like the White Rabbits and the Children of Thanos and Coco Locos,’ as she divulged more inside knowledge.

‘They wear matching vests and walk around and do gang stuff around Disneyland,’ she claimed.

‘One of the initiations was you had to steal the apple from the Snow White ride, and the apple kept getting stolen so many times they had to make it a hologram.

‘But don’t ask me how I know about Disneyland gangs, because I will not say,’ she teased.

When Rebel announced her proposal to fiancee Ramona, she thanked Disney CEO Bob Iger in her Instagram post, as it turns out, for a good reason.

The actress appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show in a new episode that aired on Thursday.

She popped the question to Agruma at the Disneyland resort in Anaheim, though she revealed in the episode that she actually reached out to Iger for special permission to pop the question at the beloved resort.

‘He’s the big, big boss and I thought, “Well, if he says yes, then it was meant to be, and I was meant to propose that day at Disneyland,’ Wilson said, adding Disneyland was, ‘the most magical proposal place on Earth.’

‘I had to get special permission to get a special area roped off and get the topiary trees in and, you know, I had a violinist playing like Disney classics, and it was very, really romantic,’ she added.

Wilson revealed she had never been engaged before and she wasn’t sure how to actually go about it.

‘She said yes. And I was like, “Do I get down on one knee? What do I do?” And I was like, “I may as well,” so I got down on one knee,’ Wilson said.

‘And then she was like, “What are you doing?” And goes, “Well, you can’t be the only one on your knee,’ so she got down as well,”‘ Wilson said, as Drew said, ‘because she’s a giver not a taker.’

‘It was just beautiful and she said yes and then I was like, “OK, great!,” Wilson said.

Wilson said she was, ‘so overwhelmed’ by the moment that, after going on a new ride at Disneyland, she needed some time to compose herself.

‘Afterwards we went on a ride, this new ride they had, and I kind of collapsed afterwards. Because I’d never been engaged before, or proposed to, or proposed. So it was such a huge thing in my life,’ she continued.

‘I literally collapsed on the floor for five minutes. And then I go, “OK, I’m good. Let’s get churros and move on,”‘ Wilson joked.

The couple went public with their relationship in June 2022, and Disney played a role in that as well, specifically in Wilson’s Instagram announcement.

‘I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess,’ Wilson said with the hashtag #loveislove.

The couple welcomed their first child via a surrogate in November, which Wilson announced on Instagram as well.

‘Beyond proud to announce the birth of my first child, Royce Lillian, born this past week via surrogate,’ she began.

‘I can’t even describe the love I have for her, she’s a beautiful miracle! I am forever grateful to everyone who has been involved, (you know who you are),’ she added.

‘This has been years in the making…but particularly wanted to thank my gorgeous surrogate who carried her and birthed her with such grace and care. Thank you for helping me start my own family, it’s an amazing gift. The BEST gift!!’ she added.

‘I am ready to give little Roycie all the love imaginable. I am learning quickly…much respect to all the Mums out there! Proud to be in your club,’ she concluded.
