Rebel Wilson brushes off criticism as she shares more photos of her slimmed-down frame… a day after getting slammed for posting at the ‘wrong time’ hours after riots in the US unfolded
She was slammed for posting imagery ‘at the wrong time’ on Wednesday, just hours after the riots in Washington unfolded.
But Rebel Wilson has brushed off the criticism, posting even more images of her incredible 30kg weight loss on Instagram a day later.
The 40-year-old shared several snaps showing off her physique in Lycra pink leggings and an orange crop top, while sporting an 80s-style hairdo and minimal make-up.
Moving on! Rebel Wilson brushed off criticism on Friday, as she shared even more footage of her incredible 30kg weight loss on Instagram
The Pitch Perfect star was seen standing under a florescent light, placing her hand on her hip before sassily hoisting her arm in the air – and unveiling her ever-shrinking waistline in the process.
Another video showed Rebel spinning a towel around her head while facing the camera under a seductive red light.
It’s a very similar string of imagery that the actress posted on Wednesday, as she proudly documented her incredible fitness journey on her social media page.
But despite the light-hearted nature of the posts, the actress was soon slammed by critics for sharing the transformation pictures at the ‘wrong time’, after Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol Building.

‘I love you. Wrong time to post this,’ one follower commented.
‘Is this you fighting Trump supporters at the capital today?’ another questioned, before a third encouraged: ‘Go get em at the Capitol.’
However, a few fans were quick to jump to the American-based actress’ defense, stating she was Australian and ‘the entire world doesn’t revolve around Washington’.
‘Wow, it is almost like she is Australian and there isn’t a whole wide world out there,’ one wrote.
‘This is an Australian actress not a US social commentator or politician,’ a second commented.

‘She doesn’t need to make any political stance, opinion or off the cuff remark because it’s not her job to make you all feel better about the mess your country is in.’
Rebel revealed that she hit her 2020 weight loss goal with time to spare in November, after spending the better part of the year focused on changing up her routine.
‘Hit my goal with one month to spare! Even though it’s not about a weight number, it’s about being healthy,’ she wrote.
‘I needed a tangible measurement to have as a goal and that was 75kg.’
