But on Saturday, the Pitch Perfect star, 44, took to Instagram to share with her followers some heartbreaking news.
Rebel’s beloved grandfather has died at the age of 97.
Sharing a photo of herself and her elderly relative, Rebel wrote, ‘RIP Poppy – 97 years young. The best grandpa!’.
It comes just days after the Australian comedienne shared a glimpse at her family Thanksgiving with wife Ramona and daughter Royce in an Instagram post.
The actress – who has been open about her 80lb weight loss journey – posted a series of images that showed her sweet celebrations.

Rebel has been keeping busy, and recently made a glamorous appearance at the star-studded, 15th Annual Governors Awards in LA.
She stunned wearing an off-the-shoulder, emerald green dress that clung to her frame and contained ruched details around the waist.

The Senior Year actress donned a pair of closed-toed, black heels and styled her locks into an up do, allowing loose strands to border the sides of her face.
Earlier this month, Wilson also celebrated her daughter, Royce’s, second birthday with a lavish, Disney-themed party with wife Ramona.
At the time, the star jumped to her main Instagram page to upload special moments from the bash.
One snap was taken as both Rebel and Ramona helped sing happy birthday to Royce as she prepared to blow out candles on her Disney princess cake.
In the caption, Wilson penned to her followers, ‘Can’t believe our little Royce Lillian is already 2!’
‘We took her to Disneyland, her first ride was DUMBO, when she saw the big castle she just said “cool!”‘
‘Her favorite show is MASHA & THE BEAR. She loves dancing, especially to classical music. And loves going to the park EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!’ the actress sweetly concluded.
