Rebel Wilson slips her slimmed-down figure into skintight leggings and a floaty top as she returns to Sydney following a trip to the US

Rebel Wilson has officially returned to her home country of Australia following a brief stint in the United States.

And on Wednesday, the 42-year-old Hollywood actress appeared in high spirits as she stepped out for a touch of exercise in Sydney.

For the occasion, Rebel slipped her slim frame into a floaty white T-shirt and black leather-look leggings.

She also wore a cap with the words ‘Rebel Island’ emblazoned on the front – a memento from her 41st birthday celebrations on Marlon Brando’s private island last year.

Rebel appeared to go completely makeup free for the outing, letting her natural beauty shine through as she took a stroll down the street.

She wore her blonde locks in a high ponytail, and accessorised with a pair of oversized sunglasses.

Rebel has been overseas regularly recently, first hosting the BAFTA Awards in the UK in March before jetting of to the US to attend the Oscars and film a secret project in Los Angeles. 

On May 13, her latest project Senior Year will be released on Netflix, which tells the story of a woman who awakens from a 20-year coma determined to complete her last year of school.

Rebel has shed more than 35kg (77lbs or 5.5st) in the last 18 months thanks to her ‘year of health’ in 2020.

She told Apple Fitness+ in January that walking – rather than doing endless high-intensity workouts – had actually been her secret weapon for weight loss.

Rebel said a doctor at a health retreat had advised her to take up walking.

‘The doctor said to me, “Rebel, the best way for you to lose unwanted body fat is just simply walking,”‘ she explained.

‘Doesn’t have to be high-intensity, doesn’t have to be uphill, just moderate walking an hour a day. And if you can do that, for you, for your body type, it’s, like, the best way to lose unwanted body fat.’

To keep her walks interesting, Rebels said she often listens to podcasts.
