Recipe: Hoisin Beef & Noodles
As with most stir-fries, it definitely pays to do all the vegetable prep upfront before you start to cook, as the pace soon gets fast and furious!
Prepare the rice noodles according to the packet instructions and set them aside.
Spray a wok or large non-stick frying pan with the cooking spray and place over a high heat.
Stir-fry the beef for 2 minutes until starting to change colour. Add the carrots, sugar snaps, garlic and ginger and cook for a further 2 minutes.
Sprinkle in the five spice powder then add the hoisin sauce and the stock. Simmer for 2 minutes until the vegetables are just tender and the sauce has reduced slightly.
Mix in the spring onions then serve the hoisin beef with the noodles.
Cook’s tip If you use gluten free hoisin sauce and stock this dish becomes suitable for a gluten free diet.
