Red Notice stars Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Johnson and Gal Gadot each earned $20 million

While Netflix gets ready to launch one of its biggest movies ever, Red Notice, new details have surfaced about the mega-salaries of its three stars, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot.

Johnson, 49, Reynolds, 45, and Gadot, 36, are each expected to earn at least $20 million apiece for their work, according to a new report from Variety.

However, Johnson is poised to earn ‘millions more’ because of his fees as a producer, though it’s uncertain what the final numbers may be.

Star salaries: While Netflix gets ready to launch one of its biggest movies ever, Red Notice, new details have surfaced about the mega-salaries of its three stars, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot

Reynolds salary is $20 million, with Gadot, whose role is smaller than Johnson and Reynolds, expected to earn the same with her salary, and Netflix buying out the star’s ‘back end profits’ that stars would usually make with a theatrical movie.

Johnson’s salary isn’t known yet though he is expected to earn several millions more than his co-stars for his producing work.

His salary could also increase by millions after Netflix pays out additional funds for finishing and delivering films to the service, which has become their standard practice.

Writer-director Rawson Marshall Thurber, who has previously directed Johnson in Central Intelligence and Skyscraper, is slated to take home $10 million.

The budget for Red Notice is listed at $160 million, though it ultimately could wind up being in the $200 million range when all is said and done.

Red Notice was originally set up at Universal Pictures, with the studio winning a headed bidding war over several other studios and streamers.

Netflix ultimately acquired the project in July 2019, also in a competitive bidding situation with Paramount also making a play for the project.

The film also stars Chris Diamantopoulos, Ritu Arya, Ivan Mbakop and Vincenzo Amato, with Netflix setting it for release in select theaters on November 5 before it arrives on the streaming service on November 12.
