Four people including a young child have been killed in a horrific head-on highway collision that has left no survivors.
Police said a black sedan was travelling east in the westbound lanes of the Ipswich Motorway at Redbank, south-west of Brisbane when it collided with a four-wheel drive about 11.15pm on Wednesday night.
Both cars caught on fire and the four-wheel-drive’s three occupants – two adults and a young child – died at the scene.

The four-wheel-drive’s three occupants – two adults and a young child – and the lone occupant of the black sedan, a 34-year-old man, all died at the scene
A 34-year-old man, the sole occupant of the black sedan, was also killed in the crash.
None of those who died have been formally identified.
