Ava DuVernay’s film adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s novel A Wrinkle In Time rang in its Los Angeles premiere Monday night.
Reese Witherspoon, one of its stars, dazzled in a sparkling scarlet floor-length gown that was off the shoulder at the left side.
The 41-year-old was joined by the eldest of her three children, her 18-year-old daughter Ava Phillippe by her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

Reese’s hair had been teased into a wavy do, which she allowed to fall free over her shoulders, and she accentuated her movie star features with makeup.
A bracelet glittered around her left wrist, and at the right side, she had a puffed-out sleeve that stretched down nearly to her elbow.
As she walked the blue carpet outdoors, it appeared that Reese occasionally got chilly, as she was snapped with a dark overcoat draped over her shoulders.

She also got in a bit of hobnobbing with Westworld star Tessa Thompson, who wore a deep blue dress awash with metallic studs.
Gathering her hair over her head and winding it into an elegant bun, Tessa had accessorized her collared outfit with a matching purse.

Scored by Ramin Djawadi, the movie is due out movie theaters on March 9.

Ryan and Reese, who co-starred in the camp classic film Cruel Intentions, were married from 1999 to 2007 and also share 14-year-old son Deacon.
Since 2011, Reese has been married to her talent agent second husband Jim Toth, by whom she has a five-year-old son called Tennessee.
Both Reese and Jim were glimpsed at the Bal des débutantes when Ava was introduced into high society there over Thanksgiving weekend.

As Vanity Fair reported while announcing Ava as a debutante, the exclusive fête was held held at the iconic Peninsula Paris in the 16th.
