Reese Witherspoon recently shocked an A-list crowd with her uncanny impression of her close friend Nicole Kidman’s Australian accent.
The Legally Blonde star, 48, was presenting at the AFI Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute to Nicole Kidman, when she stunned the crowd with her remarkable impression.
The ceremony was a private event held in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 26, and it was finally broadcast on television earlier this week.
Reese looked absolutely radiant in a plunging black gown as she took to the stage to present a glowing tribute to her Big Little Lies co-star, 56, and shared some hilarious words with the crowd.
‘As an actress, Nicole has always been proactive with her work. She’ll often talk about a foreign movie that is completely out there,’ Reese began.

The blonde beauty then performed a pitch perfect impression of Nicole’s refined Australian accent: ‘Do you see that director? Reese, it’s incredible, we must get her, we must!’
Nicole and her husband Keith Urban were seen laughing and then cringing at Witherspoon’s hilarious imitation of her accent, as Kidman looked embarrassed and hid her face in her hands.
US broadcaster TNT Drama shared a clip of the amusing event to social media and captioned it with some hilarious words: ‘Reese Witherspoon does one hell of a Nicole Kidman impression.’
Kidman was supported by her husband Keith and their daughters Sunday and Faith at the event in April.
The Australian actress had raved the AFI honour was ‘beyond my wildest dreams’ when she was announced as the recipient.

Meanwhile, Nicole recently revealed she and Reese were ‘moving fast and furious’ on Big Little Lies season three, which they both first appeared in together in 2017.
Based on a novel by Australian author Liane Moriarty, the HBO show was initially meant to be a one-season miniseries, but was such a runaway success with fans and critics that it received a second season, and now has yet another one in the works.
Reese and Nicole both starred on and executive produced the series, which follows the intrigues and scandals simmering underneath the gilded lives of a group of suburban mothers in tony Monterey, California.
