Former Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush reportedly stopped a crime before it truly began at his $5.5million Los Angeles mansion after a robber smashed a window at his home.
The attempted break-in occurred around 11 p.m. Tuesday night in the suburb of Encino.
Bush was at home when the robbery started, with the USC Trojans legend yelling upon hearing the smashed glass, with the perpetrators fleeing the scene immediately, per TMZ.
After local police arrived on the scene later, broken glass was discovered near the back of Bush’s home. No one was injured during the incident.
It is not yet publicly known if anything was stolen from Bush’s home.

Bush has lived in the Encino home since 2019, with it coming with a beefed-up alarm system, as a household of that value should.
The home also looks to be gated off, taking a massive effort from any robber to get onto Bush’s property.
Bush has not spoken out about the incident, while a police investigation is ongoing.
Bush last played in the NFL in 2016 for the Buffalo Bills, but is best known for his time at USC, where he had one of the most successful college careers for a running back in history.
In 2005, Bush ran for 1,740 yards and 16 touchdowns, winning the Heisman Trophy.
Bush’s Heisman win was vacated for nearly two decades after he was revealed he received an improper benefit during his time at USC, more than 15 years before name, image, and likeness deals were legalized.
His win was reinstated earlier this year.
