Relive former child star Jacob Tremblay’s shocking transformation ahead of Little Mermaid

Former child star Jacob Tremblay is all grown up. The actor, 16, left fans stunned this week when he stepped onto the red carpet at the Little Mermaid premiere – and looked very different.

The star, who is originally from Vancouver, Canada, started his career when he was only a toddler – appearing in a slew of commercials – and by the time he was seven, he made his feature film debut in The Smurfs 2.

He went on to star in a series of highly acclaimed movies – including Room, alongside Brie Larson, in 2015 and Wonder with Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson in 2017 – and most recently, he voiced Flounder in the upcoming live-action remake of The Little Mermaid.

But when the 16-year-old attended an event in honor of the upcoming Disney film on Monday, many people could not believe how much he’s changed since he first entered the scene as a child.
