Authorities in Northern California have found human remains that may be those of Adea Shabani, an aspiring actress from Hollywood who has been missing since February

Authorities in a rural area north of Sacramento have found human remains that may be those of an aspiring actress from Hollywood who has been missing since February.

Nevada County sheriff’s deputies cordoned off an area near Beale Falls on Tuesday while forensics investigators work to positively identify the victim.

The remains were found near the banks of Dry Creek, a body of water flowing through the Spenceville Wildlife Area about 50 miles north of the state capital, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Investigators who have been searching for over a month for Adea Shabani, 25, a Macedonian model who moved to Los Angeles to become an actress, say that the LAPD has been following up on the case in the Sacramento area in recent weeks.

News of the discovery of the human remains, which investigators fear belong to Shabani, was also reported by Fox 40 TV.

Shabani moved to Los Angeles less than two years ago to pursue a career in modeling and acting, according to friends.

She graduated from high school in Skopje, Macedonia in 2007 before attending the American University in Paris, where she graduated in 2010.

During Thursday’s chase police thought the car was connected to a homicide in Los Angeles County.

Cops deployed two spike strips in an effort to slow down the driver during the pursuit, but he evaded them and continued onto the freeway.

He then got off of the highway.

When officers attempted a felony traffic stop, Spotz pulled out his handgun and shot himself.

He was pronounced dead at the scene moments later.

Details of that homicide, including when it occurred and the name of the victim or any potential suspects, have not yet been released.
