- Speed bump went viral online after reality stars admitted it was their favourite
- Also in the top 10 is how many calories sex burns and if fish also have sex
When it comes to sex, everybody has questions.
And the most Googled one of 2023 was: ‘What is the speed bump position?’
Social media users were left baffled when Love Islander Tom Clare revealed it was his favourite position earlier this year, causing a surge in people looking up how to do it at home.
The speed bump is a variation of ‘doggy style’.
A woman lays face down with a pillow under her hips to raise her pelvis, hence the eyebrow-raising name.

Googled gave Cosmopolitan a list of the 10 most searched questions in 2023.
After queries regarding the speed bump position was the age-old classic: ‘Can you have sex when pregnant?’
Sex will not hurt your baby and it is safe to have sex while pregnant unless your doctor or midwife has told you not to, according to the NHS.
‘A penis or penetrative sex toy cannot penetrate beyond your vagina, and the baby cannot tell what’s going on’, the NHS says.
Searches for ‘sex positivity’ came third, followed by reasons for bleeding after sex, which can be a sign of an infection or vaginal dryness.
Others wanted to know how many dates they should be going on before having sex and how many calories they burn while having intercourse.
Bizarrely, one of the most common questions was: ‘How do fish have sex?’
The answer depends on the species. Typically, females release eggs into the water that get fertilised by sperm pumped out by male fish.
