A convicted paedophile has admitted sending sexually-charged emails to a popular American child actress.

Andrew Morgan, from Illawarra, south of Sydney, sent perverse emails to the 15-year-old star, in which he repeatedly revealed his sexual desire for her and inability to ‘resist her.’

New South Wales Police claim Morgan was ‘infatuated’ with the child star during his court appearance last August.

Morgan’s emails, in which he appeared to show no concern that he might be caught, prompted police to fear that he is at risk to commit further crimes against children.

‘If I’m arrested for talking to you and placed in jail, I’ll be thinking of you and I will write to you, I have your mailing address, I’ll write to you if anything happens,’ he wrote.

The unnamed actress was sent a following 12 perverse emails from Morgan over the next few days, each professing his desire to marry her.

‘[I] thank you for coming into my world and may I offer you a proposition,’ Morgan wrote in an email dated August 4, 2018, the Illawara Mercury reported.

‘Would you mind being my wife as I’m finding myself falling in love with you and I’m somewhat unable to resist you.’

Morgan was arrested by NSW Police in late August last year, after the US teen refused to respond to his emails and notified her security team.

NSW Police were contacted by the star’s security team and later arrested the man.

During his arrest, Morgan was found to be in possession of pornographic images of children aged between five years old and ten.

He told police that he had been sent the images ten months prior to his arrest and had kept them in his possession ever since.

Morgan claimed that he did not believe that the images, each depicting unclothed boys and girls, constituted child pornography.

Under the conditions of the CPR, Morgan is only allowed supervised contact with certain, pre-determined children.

The child actress is not included on his list of approved underage contacts.

Morgan will be sentenced on May 10.
