Tyreek Hill did not have the most spotless driving record before starring in a controversial traffic stop on Sunday.
On his way to the Miami Dolphins’ opening day game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the wide receiver was pulled out of his vehicle and pinned to the ground by authorities.
Nearly a week after the viral incident, the New York Post reported Cheetah’s previous traffic-related run-ins with the Miami-Dade Police Department.
Years before Hill signed with the Dolphins, he was cited for failing to stop at a red light, according to records seen by the NY Post.
Eight days after failing to pay the ticket by August 8, 2018, a judge suspended the then-Kansas City Chiefs star’s license and added another citation.

On September 6 that year, the suspension was lifted after Hill paid $293 to settle the matter.
After Sunday’s rough traffic stop, Hill received two citations, including careless driving en route to Hard Rock Stadium and a seatbelt violation.
Police bodycam footage of the incident was released, in which cops told Hill to ‘stop crying’ and ‘do what we tell you.’
Another clip shows an officer knocking on Hill’s driver’s side window, telling him to roll it down, before pulling the receiver out of his black McLaren 720s coupe.
Hill accused one of the responding officers, Danny Torres, of using excessive force during the detainment.
Torres, who has been suspended six times in his 27-year career, was placed on administrative leave as the Miami Dade PD opened an internal investigation on the case.
His previous suspensions varied between five to 20 days.

In an interview with Taylor Rooks after the incident, Hill revealed how an officer was trying to get a reaction from him during the arrest.
‘There was a lot of that going on,’ Hill said. ‘Whenever I was handcuffed behind my back, the officer was pinching me on my neck. Like, trying to get me to do something to him.’
Hill later admitted that he’d only seen the footage once. Meanwhile, his wife and mother have seen the clip ‘over 100 times’ and get angrier with each viewing.
‘Let’s not get mad, let’s learn,’ Hill tells his family. ‘Cause the more we get mad, I feel like that’s moving us backwards. It’s all about accountability on both sides.’
Noting that he does not want to speak directly to the officers involved, Hill said he will ‘talk to the people at the top’ and have the uncomfortable conversations needed.
The arrest did not take away from his time on the field. Shortly after the detainment, Hill scored a touchdown in a win over Jacksonville. On Thursday, Hill played in Miami’s loss to the Buffalo Bills.
