RHONY alum Jules Wainstein ‘begs’ judge to let her see her kids

Jules Wainstein has asked a Florida judge to drop her two children from her ex Michael Wainstein’s restraining order against her.

The 39-year-old RHONY alum was ‘begging’ the court to ‘modify’ the existing order barring her from seeing son Jagger, nine, and daughter Rio, seven, according to The Sun on Friday.

In documents obtained by the publication, Jules asked the Florida court to ‘modify/dissolve the temporary injunction as to the children and adopt the New York Post-Trial Decision’.

Her real estate investor ex had Jules added to his original no-contact order following their dispute.

On February 28 her children were removed from her custody, before Jules claimed a New York City judge awarded her sole custody in early March.

She now wants the same decision adopted by the courts in the southern state.

Wainstein has a hearing on the matter later this month, reported The Sun.

Wainstein’s ex husband is accusing the reality personality of having a dangerous drug addiction following her arrest for battery late last month.

Michael Wainstein asked a Florida judge to drug test his ex while trying to obtain a restraining order against her, according to documents obtained by TMZ.

Jules’ ex of four-years claims that the RHONY figure has been abusing prescription pills, endangering both his and their two children’s well-being.

He wants the businesswoman to submit hair follicles to be tested, as a hair follicle test can detect drug use over a much longer period of time than a traditional urine test.

In the civil proceedings, Michael claimed that their son saw Jules pop a pill before her February outburst, where she was arrested for allegedly punching him in the face during a heated custody exchange.

Mr. Wainstein also claims that his former wife previously assaulted him during their time in New York. He accused her of returning to their home visibly high on cocaine and then attacking him after being confronted about her intoxicated state.

He backed up his statements by saying he’s aware of her past problems with pills, notably the ADHD medication Adderall. If she test positive for substances, Michael is requesting Jules be ordered into a treatment program.

Michael’s request is linked to the couple’s ongoing New York divorce case while Jules’ battery arrest and the resulting restraining order are both matters for Florida courts.

A court hearing is scheduled later this month.

Jules found herself in legal trouble after she was reported to have violently lashed out at her ex while exchanging daughter Rio, nine, and son Jagger, 11 in Boca Raton, Florida last month.

During the altercation, which took place in a parking lot, Jules licked Michael’s car window before moving to the back of the car and hitting the vehicle with a baseball bat, according to a source that spoke to Page Six.

She then allegedly punched Michael in the face while their two children looked on from inside the car.

Michael filmed the incident on his phone and told cops that Jules hit and scratched his face, according to TMZ.

The businessman claims he started filming his ex because of a previous argument about child support which left him feeling threatened.

Wainstein’s arraignment is now scheduled for March 16.

Michael’s lawyer Morghan Richardson said in a statement: ‘This is a serious situation reflecting Ms. Wainstein’s increasingly reckless behavior that unfortunately took place in front of the kids,’

‘The children were released to Michael’s custody yesterday and he is most concerned about protecting them.’

Michael also reportedly obtained a protective order against Jules.

The duo’s messy divorce has been going on for over three years with police called to their home in New York in 2016 and Jules taking out a restraining order on her ex.

She has been living in Florida in recent months, telling Bravo in October 2019: ‘I’m temporarily living in Boca [in Florida] at my parents, which actually happened to be a nice thing because unfortunately my father just recently passed away.

‘So we got to spend the last year with him, which we wouldn’t have spent as much time if we were living in New York. So we’ll be there until things settle, and then hopefully we’ll move back soon.’

Michael denied cheating at the time.

In 2017, Michael was facing jail time for not paying $135,000 in child support, rent and other expenses to the former Real Housewives of New York star.

Prior to that his lawyer had accused Jules of squandering thousands of dollars – meant to be saved for their children – in a matter of days.

Each accused the other of spending money in overly extravagant ways rather than saving it for the kids.

Michael, a real estate investor, made claims his wife’s extravagant lifestyle had left him strapped for cash.

Both Jules and Michael had also been accused of hiding their finances by a judge presiding over alimony payments.

She starred on RHONY for just one season in 2016, joining in season eight but then leaving to focus on her family amid the divorce.

She has previously opened up about her lifelong battle with anorexia and bulimia and after leaving the reality show she recently said she didn’t regret talking about it on TV.

‘Eating disorders are a very secretive disease. I thought it’d be really healthy and a big part of my recovery if I did speak about it. I always say, secrets kept you sick. Speaking about it, then, I could do the opposite.’ she told BravoTV in October.
