And Richard Wilkins welcomed his first grandchild into the world on Monday, a little girl born to his daughter Rebecca and her husband James.
The 63-year-old shared a photo to Instagram, in which he was seen tenderly cradling the adorable newborn, named Isabella Rose.

Wearing a black V-neck shirt, jeans and an oversize gold cross and chain, the Today show reporter looked down lovingly at his sleeping granddaughter in the snap.
‘Congratulations to my beautiful daughter Becky and her handsome husband James on the arrival of their little princess Isabella Rose,’ he gushed in the caption.
The veteran entertainment editor added the hashtag ‘#veryproudgranddad’.

A number of his 42,000 followers took to the comments section to send the family their well wishes.
Channel Nine reporter Charlotte Goodlet wrote: ‘Congratulations Grandpa dickie and Uncle Christian and of course, Becky and James. Beautiful name!’

Becoming a father to Adam when he was 18 years old, Richard told Stellar magazine last year that his firstborn son ‘forced him to grow up’.
‘I had the potential to be the black sheep of the family, certainly the potential to have a wild side. I was sort of ready to run with all of that and then Adam came along. He forced me to grow up,’ he described.
