Richmond Tigers star Nathan Broad gets new tattoo to rival teammate Dustin Martin

Take that Dusty! Richmond AFL star covers his back with a huge tattoo of a native American chief so he can fit in with his heavily-inked teammates

  • The Richmond player has started his off season in Bali, where he was inked
  • His new artwork will help him fit in with his famously tattooed teammates

Richmond star Nathan Broad has started his AFL off-season relaxing in Bali – and he’s got the ink to prove it.

The 26-year-old went to Flash Ink Bali to have a local artist tattoo a native American chief across his entire back on Wednesday.

Broad’s new ink could easily rival that of any of his teammates, including the famously tattooed Dustin Martin.

The tattooed bodies in Tigerland are renowned.

Star player Martin is covered in tats, and admitted after the 2019 Grand Final he was ‘looking for space’ to fit more.

Richmond wingman Josh Caddy sports a portrait of Instagram model Marina Laswick on his calf – which he admitted to The Footy Show he’d had done to blend in with his teammates.

‘I went to Richmond, I had to fit in,’ he joked.

Flash Tattoo in Bali was quick to show off their work on Instagram, sharing a picture of the tattoo splayed across the West Australian’s back.

This is not Broad’s first tattoo – he was sporting a left sleeve and more ink on his stomach before the trip – but it certainly his largest.

Unfortunately, the image is not exclusively his.

Just three posts before the one of Broad, the tattoo parlour shared an image of the same picture tattooed on someone’s leg.
