Footy star Jayden Short has got engaged to his childhood sweetheart Maddy Bekiaris.
The 27-year-old Richmond midfielder announced the happy news on Instagram on Tuesday after popping the question in Cinque Terre in Italy earlier this week.
The couple couldn’t hide their delight as they beamed in a joint post showing off the six-diamond wraparound ring.

The pair have known each other for more than a decade and were mates back in 2012.
That was the year Short made the AFL rookie draft. A year later he made his senior debut.
