Some of Britain’s biggest stars have teamed up with Ricky Gervais in his campaign to raise awareness against trophy hunting.

Succession star Brian Cox and Lorraine Kelly joined him in wearing T-shirts featuring a print of an elephant on it, along with the organisation’s logo and Ricky’s signature.

Each year British hunters contribute significantly to the number of endangered species such as lions, elephants, and polar bears.

In an attempt to bring attention to the issue and drive donations, the Office actor has designed an exclusive clothing range.

The T-shirts and hoodies, made from organic cotton, are produced using renewable energy.

Showing her support, Scottish TV presenter Lorraine shared a snap of her in the t-shirt on social media.

She wrote: ‘Proud to support this campaign! @rickygervais has designed an EXCLUSIVE T-shirt in support of the Campaign To Ban Trophy Hunting – CBTH.

‘It’s a DISGRACE that UK hunters can kill elephants for fun & import their sick “trophies” back. Help Ricky #BanTrophyHunting.’

As it stands, current legislation allows hunters to import animal remains into the UK for taxidermy or decorative trophy displays.

The comedian’s campaign seeks to change this by advocating for legislation to ban such imports, a goal reflected in the Labour Party’s manifesto.

Ricky said: ‘There are few things as immoral as shooting an animal just for fun, and then bragging about it. It’s sickening, cowardly and downright deranged.

‘It’s not just American dentists who go around killing for kicks. British trophy hunters are among the most prolific in the world when it comes to killing elephants. It’s just unbelievable, and it’s got to end right now.’

‘Elephants are amazing creatures and they’re also endangered. That’s why I’ve designed this T-shirt. I hope people buy them and help the Campaign to Ban Trophy Hunting expose and end this so-called sport for good.’

Ricky’s designs are now available for purchase, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going directly to the campaign.

Clothing from the collection can be returned to the supplier, Teemill, once they are worn out.

Eduardo Goncalves, the founder of the Campaign to Ban Trophy Hunting, said: ‘Ricky is an amazing voice for animals and has spoken out powerfully about the cruelty and insanity of trophy hunting.

‘We are so grateful he has chosen to design this t-shirt for us and support our work to expose and end trophy hunting.’
