Boxing great Ricky Hatton has revealed a dramatic new look as he attended a charity event in Blackpool.

Hatton shared a photo on Instagram having attended ‘Blofest’ in Blackpool, featuring comedian Joey Blowers.

The 46-year-old was seen sporting a newly shaved head as he posed for the picture with Jade Slusarczyk.

Slusarczyk, 39, is the partner of snooker legend Jimmy White and is a former Sky Sports walk-on girl and Miss Blackpool.

Hatton explained he had shaved his head to support the Brain House Children’s Hospice, an organisation which provides specialist care for children who have complex needs and life-limiting conditions.

‘Head shaved for @brianhousech. won’t be keeping the skinhead,’ Hatton said.

The former boxing star was raising money for the Brain House Children’s Hospice

‘But it raised a right few quid for charity. So I’m more than happy to stomach it. (till it grows back).’

He added: ‘Brilliant couple of days in Blackpool at Blofest @vivablackpool. Good to see you again jade. Brilliant time & laugh.’

The former welterweight and light-welterweight world champion’s appearance surprised fans, with several admitting their shock while others claimed the new look suited the former boxing star.

Hatton had also appeared on stage during the event, with the Man City fan singing ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ by Oasis.

Since concluding his boxing career with a 45-3 record, Hatton has worked as a boxing promoter and trainer.

Slusarczyk, who was pictured with Hatton, was recently revealed by Jimmy White as being the inspiration for the snooker star turning his life around after splashing millions on gambling and cocaine. 

White, 62, holds the distinction of reaching six World Championship finals and winning none of them.

Known as a big-time partier in the 1980s and ’90s, ‘the Whirlwind’ swapped ‘nights out’ for ‘pamper nights in’ after falling head over heels for Sky Sports walk-on girl Jade Slusarczyk in 2018.

He calls it a ‘miracle’ that Slusarczyk, aged 39 and 23 years his junior, likes him back and has dragged him away from his old destructive tendencies.

‘It’s impossible to say how much I used to drink in my wild days. It was drink after drink and line after line and I’d go missing for days,’ he told the Sun in 2021.

‘It took 15 years to get sober and I don’t miss that life at all. Jade’s helped me because she doesn’t drink.

‘I’ve never been so happy and I’m pleased to say my life is in a good place. I haven’t got a zillion in the bank but I have my family and Jade.

‘I didn’t think for a minute she’d go out with me, because of the age difference.

‘It’s a miracle she fancies me. But she doesn’t care about the age difference, so why should I?’
