As the Real Housewives of New York struggle with low ratings in season 13, the ladies of the Big Apple can still count one megastar as a viewer.
Rihanna, 33, proved she is clearly still watching as she shared a clip from the most recent episode on social media late Wednesday where she was name dropped by Housewife Leah McSweeney during a spat with Ramona Singer.
The mogul’s Instagram post threw some subtle shade at Ramona for being judgmental about Leah’s clothing line, Married to the Mob, of which RiRi is a big fan.
Taking sides: Rihanna proved she is clearly still watching RHONY – as it struggles in ratings – as she shared a clip from the most recent episode on social media where she was name dropped by Housewife Leah McSweeney during a spat with Ramona Singer
Rihanna effectively had the last word in some petty RHONY drama after her name was brought up by Leah McSweeney during bar blowup with Ramona Singer.
The star filmed the scene between the Housewives on her cell phone from her hotel room television, as she is currently in NYC with beau A$AP Rocky, and posted it to her 102million followers on Instagram.
The ordeal went down during Ramona’s birthday party after the ladies got into a tense discussion about Leah’s concerns about participating in Luann’s new Christmas song.
‘She’s donating the proceeds to charity. But for how long, how many years? What if she starts making tons of money from the song in a year or two?,’ Leah asked.
Riri has spoken: Rihanna backed her pal Leah McSweeney by wearing one of her designs on social media and tagging Ramona Singer who mocked the brand in a recent episode
The conversation spiraled into the typical Housewives drama ending with Ramona obnoxiously trying to smooth things over by offering to promote Leah’s clothing line – and conveniently forgot the name.
‘Let me promote Leah Mob or Mob something,’ Ramona rudely quipped to Leah in an argument, referring to McSweeney’s clothing line Married to the Mob.
‘You aren’t exactly my demographic, so it’s all good,’ Leah snapped back. ‘I already have Rihanna wearing my s**t, you think I need you wearing my s**t?’
Along with sharing the clip to her Instagram page, the Fenty Beauty owner added with a subtle dig at Ramona in the caption and showed her support for Leah with a selfie.

She penned: ‘What was said @ramonasinger?’
To top it off, Rihanna added a selfie of her actually wearing one of Leah’s designs.
In the snap the singer/songwriter was rocking a furry bucket hat, sunglasses and a black T-shirt hat read b***h mob in fiery red font.
‘I love you so much,’ Leah gratefully added in the comments.
The shade seemed all in good fun with Ramona actually reposting Rihanna’s Instagram on Thursday.

Some commenters, however, didn’t think the Bravo vet was in on the joke with one person quipping: ‘aw you don’t get it’ and another adding ‘you know she’s dragging you, right?’
Not one to keep silent, Ramona clapped back: ‘I am not her demographic…well aware of what she is saying. we fight & makeup [heart] @leahmob’
Leah then backed Ramona by adding: ‘she’s not dragging you she’s playfully teasing’
Having the spotlight placed on this season of the RHONY by one of the world’s most popular celebrities is likely a welcome moment for the show which is struggling in the ratings.

DailyMail.com previously reported exclusively that the franchise is in such turmoil that the cast members have been informed the reunion filming has been delayed from August 5 until at least September and the show won’t begin filming for next season until 2022.
An insider said: ‘All hell is breaking loose behind the scenes at the Real Housewives of New York. While the cameras are down, the drama is continuing.’
And the cast – which currently features Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Leah McSweeney and Eboni K. Williams – has been informally advised that taping of a new season will not occur until early in 2022 rather than late 2021 as planned.
A spokesperson for Bravo had no comment when contacted about the story by DailyMail.com.
Some commenters, however, didn’t think the Bravo vet really got what was going on with one person quipping: ‘aw you don’t get it’ and another adding ‘you know she’s dragging you, right?’
The insider continued: ‘The cast is completely divided and the women are not getting along with each other.
‘Filming ended with all of the women as friends, but as soon as the show started airing, Eboni K. Williams went to war against her cast mates – particularly Ramona and Luann and the audience is switching off week after week.’
In July, the Bravo show recorded its lowest rated episode of all-time, earning only 764,000 live viewers. (The only episodes rated lower were the ‘secrets’ recap episodes for season seven and 12.)
The source continued: ‘Our viewers don’t want to be lectured to. They want a fun show – tipsy, middle aged women with money fighting about petty stuff. Yes – let’s talk about the important issues facing our nation – but this cannot be the center of our show.
Problems: Having the spotlight placed on this season of the RHONY by one of the world’s most popular celebrities is likely a welcome moment for the show which is struggling in the ratings, recording its lowest numbers ever in July
‘It’s not what our show is, but week after week, scene after scene, everyone is being schooled by a former Fox News host.’
‘It is the talk of the network that Eboni is demanding that Ramona be demoted to a friend for next season as Eboni believes that the show should be centered around her going forward.
‘The Countess is uncomfortable to film with Eboni as she is concerned that she will be made to look like a racist for speaking up when she felt defamed in her own home.
‘Ramona is p*ssed that someone is leaking against her and that false stories are coming out painting her as a nightmare who is about to be fired.
Issues: DailyMail.com previously reported exclusively that the franchise is in such turmoil that the cast members have been informed the reunion filming has been delayed from August 5 until at least September and the show won’t begin filming for next season until 2022.
‘While Ramona can be a total pain in the ass, unlike Eboni, she is loyal to the show and doesn’t want it to tank in the ratings.
‘Ramona will also be turning up for the reunion, whenever it will be filmed. She has a lot to say.’
‘Leah is furious that she is being made out to be the leak as she is very close to Eboni and has a good relationship with the rest of the cast. She wants this show to be a success too and wants the leaks to stop.
‘Filming ended with all of the women as friends, but as soon as the show started airing, Eboni K. Williams went to war against her cast mates – particularly Ramona and Luann and the audience is switching off week after week.’
And meanwhile the insider said: ‘Sonja Morgan is literally nowhere to be found.’
Yesterday insiders told DailyMail.com that a ‘cast shakeup’ was in fact going on behind the scenes, but that Singer will be staying put.
Dorinda Medley and Tinsley Mortimer were gone from this latest season and the franchise’s first black Housewife, Eboni K. Williams, was added to the cast.
