Rihanna’s brother Rorrey Fenty is arrested ‘for assaulting man and woman on Barbados party boat’

Rihanna’s younger brother Rorrey Fenty has been arrested for allegedly assaulting two people in one day in Barbados.

Mr Fenty, 29, is accused of attacking Lee-Ann Lingo, while at a party on the boat M.V. Dream Chaser, which was moored in the islands capital, Bridgetown, on January 20. 

The brother of the singer is also accused of punching Andrew Thornton later that same day. He was then arrested and charged with actual bodily harm. 

Mr Fenty appeared at District A Magistrates Court before Acting Magistrate Anika Jackson on Friday February 1 where he denied all the charges.

He was granted $1,000 bail and ordered to attend his next hearing on June 6. 

Both of the alleged victims are said to be members of the same tennis club on the island. 

The 6ft 5in entrepreneur was pictured leaving court wearing a white shirt, a black bowler hat and round spectacles. He was surrounded by a number of friends and family.

Mr Fenty is close to his superstar big sister and they grew up together in Barbados. 

He describes himself as a businessman and has set up a clothing brand called Orign on the Caribbean island. 

In December 2017 Rihanna went to the launch party for her brother’s brand at Red Door Lounge, Holetown, in Bridgetown.

She was also joined by best friend Melyssa Ford and reggae artist Popcaan. 

Mr Fenty has also tried to follow in his famous sister’s footsteps by releasing his own music under the stage name Gallest.

In an interview with the Grio Fenty recalled his sister singing backup for him when he would spit rap lyrics in their early teens and record songs on the computer. 

He said: ‘I can’t even put into words how proud I am of my sister; words won’t do it justice.’ 

Rorrey Fenty is the younger brother of Rihanna and has another younger sibling called Rajad who is 22. All three are the children of Ronald and Monica.
