Riley talked about the time she started filming Daisy Jones & the Six after she lost her brother Benjamin and after being sick.

‘I have Lyme disease, and the sickest I’ve ever been was probably the year we filmed Daisy Jones,’ she said.

‘And I’d also lost my brother, so emotionally and physically I was feeling totally overwhelmed. [The disease] makes basic things like getting out of bed and going on a walk challenging.’

Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of Elvis Presley and wife Priscilla, died on Thursday, January 12 from cardiac arrest at age 54 – two days after making an appearance at the Golden Globes.

Lisa Marie was mother to four children: daughter Riley and son Benjamin with ex-husband Danny Keough, twin daughters Finley Aaron Love Lockwood and Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood, 14, with ex-husband Michael Lockwood.

Benjamin Keough died at age 27 from suicide on July 12, 2020 – which would have been his 28th birthday.

After his passing, Lisa Marie wrote: ‘My beautiful angel, I worshipped the ground you walked on, on this earth and now in Heaven. My heart and soul went with you. The depth of the pain is suffocating and bottomless without you every moment of every day.’

She was laid to rest at Graceland late January next to Benjamin in the Meditation Garden at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee.

Elvis, and his parents Vernon and Gladys are also buried in the garden.

In the interview, Riley revealed she never played the guitar or sang in public – despite her family’s rock star legacy.

‘It is funny, and a lot of the response I get when I share that I never sang or played instruments is that people are very confused by that,’ she said.

‘But it’s the truth. For whatever reason I never picked up a guitar and sang until the show.’

The actress revealed that they filmed the final concert in spring 2021 in New Orleans.

‘We had been rehearsing to do the live performances and then we had like five months of just acting,’ she said to the magazine.

‘We were like “We wanna perform now!” When I watch the performance stuff, it makes me feel joy because we were all feeling wild.’

Adding: ‘Performing was very real and we didn’t have to fake the fun. We were having the best time every and there was a real sense of freedom, even though it was probably four or five in the morning.’
