Netflix’s Tex Mex Motors star Rob ‘The Rabbit’ Pitts has died aged 45 after a battle with stomach cancer.
Pitts was beloved by fans of the show which sees motorheads transport cars from Mexico to El Paso, Texas, and restore them.
He passed on Sunday just days after posting a heartbreaking video announcing his cancer diagnosis and saying goodbye to fans – with his videographer Jeff announcing his death.
Jeff wrote on the video captioned This Is Goodbye (RIP 7/27/79 – 8/25/24) – ‘Hey everyone, this is Jeff (Rob’s Videographer). I am with him now in Hospice.
‘He just passed at 21:45 on 08/25/2024. I will be sure to preserve the channel. He will be missed and we will never forget him.’

In his final video Rob revealed his cancer diagnosis for the first time and said he had been ‘feeling off’ since last year and sought medical assistance as he began losing weight rapidly.
He said: ‘I went to urgent care a few times and they treated my symptoms but didn’t get to the root of the problem.’
As he filmed the second season of Tex Mex Motors, he began to suffer ‘acid reflux-like symptoms’.
He was diagnosed with stomach cancer in March after a trip to the ER – after initially believing he had gallbladder issues.
Rob said: ‘It’s been rough. More bad days than good but hanging in there. I have a lot to live for and life has been going my way. Don’t be sad for me.’
He added that he had ‘accomplished my dream of buying my own store, finishing season 2 of Netflix and marrying the love of my life.
‘Luckily she doesn’t mind doing long-term things with a short-term guy.’
He revealed he had been undergoing treatment at home, before sharing a photo of himself in hospital.
He said: ‘It’s been rough. More bad days than good but hanging in there.
