Robbie Williams appears on GMB with ‘F***ed Up Friend’ scrawled on sleeve in blunder

‘Does no one check what you’re putting out at 8.20am?’ Robbie Williams appears on GMB with ‘F***ed Up Friend’ scrawled across his sleeve following Scunthorpe subtitle blunder

  • Producers failed to censor the message in promo clip of singer with Tyson Fury
  • Clip played as the boxer sat in the studio to discuss collaboration with Robbie
  • Comes after subtitling error saw Scunthorpe renamed c***thorpe yesterday

This is the moment Robbie Williams strolled into view on morning TV with the phrase ‘f***ed up friend’ emblazoned on his jacket sleeve.

Viewers were outraged as one mother tweeted that her daughter had read the slogan on today’s Good Morning Britain in the second blunder in as many days for the show.

The clip went out as boxer Tyson Fury was discussing his upcoming single, which is a collaboration with Williams.

Robbie Williams wore a jacket with the slogan ‘f***ed up friend’ on his left left but producers forgot to censor it

But producers failed to blur out the obscene language featured on Robbie’s jacket as they played a promo video for the song.

Furious Twitter user @olive_simmo tweeted: ‘@GMB well done GMB, my daughter is watching the clip with @robbiewilliams and has just read out loud ‘f***ed up friend’ that was written on the arm of his jacket. Does no one check what you’re putting out on TV at 8.20am?!’

And social media user Mark Greenleaf mocked the show’s host, Ben Shephard, posting: ‘@benshephard just read Robbie Williams sleeve on the clip you showed this morning on gmb #strictlyafter9pm.’

Yesterday stunned viewers with a very rude error. The ITV chatshow showed a clip of Scunthorpe Steelworks, which had a sign that read: ‘Welcome to British Steel Scunthorpe’.

Oh dear: The ITV chatshow showed a clip of Scunthorpe Steelworks, which had a sign that read: 'Welcome to British Steel Scunthorpe', but the GMB logo covered the 'S' leaving it reading: 'Welcome to British Steel c**thorpe'

Oh dear: The ITV chatshow showed a clip of Scunthorpe Steelworks, which had a sign that read: ‘Welcome to British Steel Scunthorpe’, but the GMB logo covered the ‘S’ leaving it reading: ‘Welcome to British Steel c**thorpe’

Yet due to a rather awkward formatting blunder, the GMB logo and time frame covered the ‘S’ in Scunthorpe, leaving the sign rudely reading: ‘Welcome to British Steel c**thorpe.’

The error didn’t go unnoticed by eagle-eyed viewers at home who were left stunned over the crude sign.

One show watcher took to Twitter to share a photo of the gaffe, they captioned it: ‘Oh dear. The @GMB logo and time were in an unfortunate position this morning @itvcalendar #gmb.’
