Robbie Williams’ wife Ayda Field is rushed to hospital after ‘a picture perfect evening’ comes to ‘a less than picture perfect ending’

Ayda Field updated social media followers from an accident and emergency room on Sunday after she was rushed to hospital with a mystery illness.

The wife of former Take That star Robbie Williams pictured herself being treated with an intravenous drip as she rested on a hospital bed, a mounted heart monitor visible on the wall to her rear.

Addressing the incident with Instagram followers, Ayda, 44, admitted her trip to hospital had overshadowed what could otherwise be considered a wonderful evening.

Captioning her post, she wrote: ‘After a picture perfect evening, a less than picture perfect ending. Back now and resting thanks to my wonderful hubby @robbiewilliams for being by my side.’

The previous evening Ayda had enjoyed a night out with Robbie, 49, at Beverly Hills restaurant Cipriani – where they were joined by Dame Joan Collins and her husband, Percy Gibson.

Robbie is connected to Dame Joan through the British actress’s late goddaughter, Milica Kastner.

Milica, the daughter of American film producer Elliott Kastner and British celebrity interior designer Tessa Kennedy, died of terminal cancer aged 49 in March 2021, two years after she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and stage 4 uterine sarcoma.

Robbie and Milica became close friends after the film producer moved in next door to the Take That star when he was living in Notting Hill.

The pair also reportedly had a pact to marry if they had not found partners by a certain age.

In a self-written piece for Tatler, Milica wrote: ‘From that first Notting Hill night Robbie and I met, we were inseparable, like brother and sister.

‘I ended up moving to Los Angeles in 2001 and lived there with Robbie for two years.’

Milica also revealed that during her pregnancy with her son Jack people assumed the baby was Robbie’s.

‘While in LA, I became pregnant to one of my eldest brother’s friends, Cary Woods.

‘When I moved back to London, pregnant with Jack, everyone thought the baby was Robbie’s – but we were, and always have been, just friends.’

Robbie and wife Ayda are parents to daughter Teddy, 11, and sons Charlie, nine, and Beau, three.

The couple largely keep their children out of the public eye, with Teddy recently making a brief appearance in the singer’s Netflix documentary.

Their eldest child also had a taste of the spotlight in 2018 when she was flower girl at Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding.
