Robert De Niro hauls dynamite on The Irishman set

Robert De Niro hauled explosives alongside co-star Bo Dietl carrying gasoline on the Brooklyn set of Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman on Saturday.

The 74-year-old acting legend’s box was labeled: ‘Du Pont Dynamite Do Not Drop.’

In the biopic, the two-time Oscar winner plays real-life Teamster-turned-mob hitman Frank Sheeran while the 67-year-old former NYPD detective plays ‘Chicago’s top labor racketeer’ Joe Glimco.

The 75-year-old Oscar-winning filmmaker sported a furry hat and was seen instructing Robert and Bo on how to authentically torch a taxi in the parking lot.

Based on Charles Brandt’s 2004 novel I Heard You Paint Houses, The Irishman centers on Sheeran recalling his possible involvement with the slaying of Teamster leader Jimmy Hoffa.

Anna Paquin, Jesse Plemons, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Harvey Keitel, Bobby Cannavale, and Ray Romano also appear in the biopic hitting theaters later this year.
