Robert Irwin avoids the water after freak crocodile accident nearly made him miss the Logie Awards

Robert Irwin had his fans in stitches after he shared a hilarious video on Wednesday which captured him avoiding the water after a freak crocodile accident.

The celebrity conservationist, 20, posted the footage to Instagram, which began with a close up of him standing on a small boat in an outdoor setting.

‘Got to tell you, there’s nothing better than being out here on the open water. Just gorgeous,’ Robert told his fans.

The camera then panned out to reveal the boat was not actually in the water, but was sitting on the sandy shore in front of a lake.

Many of Robert’s followers quickly took to the comment section to express their amusement over the clip.

‘Oh my goodness… that’s too funny,’ one person wrote while a second user added: ‘You’re such a goober and I love it.’

‘The open water for sure,’ a third fan chipped in.

It comes after Robert suffered a freak croc-related accident just hours before Sunday night’s 2024 Logie Awards.

‘I just came straight in from catching crocodiles up north,’ he began.

The celebrity conservationist was rumoured to be bringing his mother Terri Irwin to the exclusive event, and stunned fans when he instead showed up with his IAC co-star Julia.
