Special counsel Robert Mueller is gearing up to interview one of President Donald Trump’s closest confidants, Hope Hicks.
Mueller plans to speak to the White House communications director by the end of November to see what she knows about potential Russian interference in the 2016 election as well as possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Moscow.
Hicks’s presence in several events critical to Mueller’s investigation has thrust her into the middle of the probe, reported Politico.

Hicks, 29, has had a presence in several events critical to Mueller’s (pictured, June 2017) investigation, such as being with Trump when he drafted a letter explaining why he wanted to fire former FBI Director James Comey
The 29-year-old was with Trump when he and policy adviser Stephen Miller drafted a letter laying out the reasons he wanted to fire former FBI Director James Comey, who was then spearheading the Russia probe.
She was also with Trump in the Oval Office for a meeting on May 8, the day before Trump fired Comey.
Additionally, Hicks was reportedly with the president on Air Force One when he allegedly helped his son craft the initial response to a New York Times story that he met with a Kremlin-connected lawyer at Trump Tower in June 2016 to get dirt on Hillary Clinton.
Hicks has denied multiple times that top campaign aides spoke with any foreign dignitaries.
‘It never happened. There was no communication between the campaign and any foreign entity during the campaign,’ Hicks told The Associated Press in November 2016.
Information materialized in the past year have revealed that this is not the case.
Since Trump’s election, just some of the people in his camp who have spoken in Russian nationals in some capacity include son Donald Trump Jr, son-in-law Jared Kushner, now-Attorney General Jeff Sessions, lobbyist Paul Manafort, and oil consultant Carter Page.

Hicks (second from right, January 2017) is not under investigation for any criminal wrongdoing and has retained as her attorney Robert Trout, a co-founder of a law firm that has represented other high-profile people mired in Washington scandals.
Hicks has been working with the Trumps for five years but her name received much wider attention after Donald Trump Jr’s correspondence with Wikileaks was revealed.
The controversial documents site reached out to Trump Jr in September 2016. Trump Jr in return emailed top campaign members about WikiLeaks reaching out, including Hicks.
