Sean Stewart shocked his family by announcing he’d married TV producer Jody Weintraub in a ‘spur-of-the-moment’ ceremony.
The couple tied the knot in Las Vegas on Valentine’s Day, with Sean – who was recently hospitalised after a terrifying road collision – proposing during a romantic meal and the couple making things official just hours later.
The pair, who have known each other since high school, are said to have tied the knot at Little Church of the West while clad in their normal clothing.
According to PEOPLE, Sean wore jeans and a YSL sweater, while the bride donned a black, cashmere jumpsuit for the ceremony.
While it is not clear how long the pair have been dating they have remained in touch since their teenage years due to having a mutual friend in producer Courtenay Semel.

Jody is the daughter of late Hollywood producer Jerry Weintraub and has a five-year-old son from her first marriage who is said to be a ‘big fan’ of Sean.
A source told the publication: ‘They are both very family-oriented people. They both have famous families, they just get each other.’
After Sean proposed he is said to have called his mother Alana while en route to the courthouse, but Alana didn’t believe that he was being serious.
The insider revealed that after sending the family pictures from the occasion, Alana was left in tears and ‘so so happy for him,’ while ‘his dad was so happy to hear the news.’
The newlyweds celebrated their wedding back in Los Angeles with Sean’s parents as the group headed for dinner at Nobu in Malibu.
Alana was Rod’s first wife, and they married in 1979, but they divorced five years later. As well as Sean, the couple share daughter Kimberly, 43.
Documenting the dinner on Instagram, Alana penned: ‘Congratulations to my boy @seanstewart and his beautiful bride @jody_weintraubstewart who surprised us all with a spur of the moment Las Vegas wedding.
‘I’m so happy for you both! ❤️ #wedding #marriage #love.’

Sean’s rocky past has been well documented but in 2015 he insisted that he was back on the straight and narrow and would not fly off the rails.
‘It’s a total clean slate,’ Sean told Daily Mail Australia. ‘I couldn’t imagine myself getting into anything that was drug-fuelled or alcohol fuelled at this point in my life you know, that’s not even a blip,’ he added.
Sean previously made headlines for a number of arrests and his struggle with drugs but thanks to a stint on TV show Celebrity Rehab, he said he was now excited about waking up in the morning.
‘The truth is, I’m so over it [that lifestyle], and so beyond it,’ he explained to Daily Mail Australia.
‘It’s been a couple of decades since my life was like that, and it’s so funny now because I wake up in the morning and what excites me, is going to boxing and getting my heart rate up and getting my endorphins going.
‘And then I go and get a juice,’ he said. ‘I’m in such a new chapter in my life where my health and wellness is my main concern. I’m feeling good, I’m feeling healthy.’

In 2002, he had a 90 day stint in jail for being outside a nightclub and attacking a man and five years later was denied entry into a LA bash and attacked a couple with a brick.
In 2010, he was also arrested after a traffic violation and had a warrant against him at the time.
Despite vowing to turn over a new leaf, Sean found himself in trouble with the law again in 2021.
However battery charges against both Sean and his father Rod were later dropped, with the pair avoiding jail for a New Year’s Eve assault on a security guard.
Rod and his son Sean avoided incarceration and a potentially embarrassing trial that was set to start in September 2021 for their role in the brawl at the upscale Palm Beach resort.
DailyMail.com exclusively revealed in September 2021 that Sir Rod’s legal team reached a deal with prosecutors where Stewart and son pled no contest to the charge of simple battery.
The father and son were charged with one misdemeanor count each after feisty Rod was caught on surveillance cameras at The Breakers Palm Beach throwing a punch at a security guard with Sean stepping into the tussle the night of December 31, 2019.
In exchange for their plea, the singer and his son escaped a conviction, criminal record and time behind bars, said their attorney Guy Fronstin.

Meanwhile, it was a weekend of partying for the Stewart family, as Rod also celebrated the impending birth of his new grandchild as daughter Ruby prepares to welcome a baby boy.
He reunited with his ex-girlfriend Kelly Emberg, who he dated from 1983 to 1990, while they partied with guests including first wife Alana and actress Tina Hillstrom at the baby shower.
Mum-to-be Ruby and her fiancé Jake Kalick held a party with cake, a raw food bar and impromptu music from Rod who sang What A Wonderful World with fellow grandparent-to-be Harold Kalick .

Ruby later wrote of the event: ‘I woke up this morning with my face hurting from laughter and my heart full.

‘We love you all and thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you to our families who flew/drove in from all over to make this day just that more special.

Rod’s second celebration in days comes after his son Sean got hitched to Jody Weintraub in following a romantic Valentine’s Day in Vegas.
Jody has changed her Instagram surname to Weintraub Stewart and spent a Valentines Day in Vegas at the Wynn hotel with Sean brforr the two got married.
