Rogue tuk tuk crashes into lorry

An unmanned tuk tuk was recorded speeding down a highway in India at speeds of nearly 20mph.

The rogue tuk tuk – an automatic rickshaw – was able to travel for a few hundred metres without a driver before colliding with the kerb, a lorry and then an oil tanker.

It it not known exactly how the tuk tuk was able to begin its journey although it appears from the video that those recording had a role in it.

Footage shows the tuk tuk swerving around the busy road, first into the kerb and then into traffic.

Pushing on unsteadily after veering into barriers, the tuk tuk then bangs into a lorry causing it to shudder and seemingly stop.

But the rickshaw continued moving forward picking up speed again before finally crashing into an oil tanker.

The incident, captured on a smartphone, took place in Ankleshwar in the western Indian state of Gujarat.

The tuk tuk started from a busy Ansar market and finally stopped a kilometre away at Tapi Loj near National Highway 8.

Meanwhile, a road rage incident in India in March turned deadly when a milkman killed a tuk tuk driver by smashing his head with a slab of pavement.

Two men began arguing after Mushtaq Niwaraia, 36, tried to overtake on a busy road and scratched the second man’s bike.

The motorbiker, known only as Hiralal, 40, who was approaching from the opposite direction, collided with Mr Niwaraia.

CCTV captures the moment a scuffle breaks out and a crowd forms around the two men in a crowded market in Churu in Rajasthan in western India.

One of the men, in response to being threatened with a knife, hurled the large slab of concrete at his victim, killing him instantly.
