Ronda Rousey joked that she was prepared for zombies during an interview Thursday on Hot Ones on YouTube.
The 33-year-old fighting champion opened up while being interviewed by host Sean Evans, 34, over progressively hotter chicken wings.
Sean opened by asking Ronda about her sustainable ranch Browsey Acres in Riverside, California and if her lifestyle was motivated by being practical or a ‘doomsday prepper’ impulse.

‘It started as doomsday prepper but it has morphed into just our contribution to society and being as self-sustaining and less taxing from everybody else as possible,’ Ronda said after eating wings at the 1,700 Scoville scale.
She said at first it was ‘recurring zombie dreams’ and mentioned that her mother recently called her stressed out about the US presidential election.
‘I’m like, mom, I’m prepared for zombies, that’s a 10. Life is like one, a president you don’t like is a two or a three. If you’re prepared for zombies, everything else is just like, uh, I can deal with it,’ Ronda said.
Ronda took it up a notch with the spicy factor at 4,200 on the Scoville scale as she explained the most vulnerable pain points on the human body for a fighter.

‘The elbow only goes a certain way, the knee only goes a certain way and the ankle only goes a certain way. They are not like very durable joints. It only takes a few pounds of pressure to dislocate somebody’s elbow,’ Ronda said.
She said that back in her judo days that her judoka mother AnnMaria De Mars had a philosophy about opponents being able to recover from a throw, pin or choke.
‘But if you get somebody in an arm bar and you break their arm and they don’t count it, the other person only has one arm. And if you lose to that person, you deserve to lose. So you should just get really good at arm bars,’ Ronda continued about her mother’s philosophy.

Sean after the hot wings on the Scoville scale reached the 669,000 level brought up Ronda’s tradition of eating hot wings after a fight and asked for her favorite memory.
Ronda said that the inside of her nostrils were hurting and that she has long associated hot wings with victory and happiness and used to crave them during training camps.
She then shared a photo of the best plate of hot wings that she’s ever had after beating Bethe Correia in 2015 in Brazil.
‘It was the best and I have the happiest memories with hot wings,’ Ronda said of the specially made plate of hot wings.
Ronda perfectly recreated the Hot Ones look for her remote appearance on the show and credited her No DNB Productions company for converting her bedroom.
