Ronda Rousey labels WWE an ‘absolute s*** show’ and vows to not return as she accuses the organisation of keeping their stars ‘captive’… after calling Vince McMahon an ‘evil, unethical slimeball’

Ronda Rousey has slammed the WWE and claims she has not intentions of making a return to the promotion. 

Rousey rose to fame after becoming the first UFC women’s bantamweight champion and the biggest female star in UFC history.

The 37-year-old then made the switch to wrestling 2018, signing with WWE before making her debut at Wrestlemania 34. 

She remained on the roster until last year. Ahead of the release of her autobiography, ‘Our Fight’, Rousey has vowed to never return to the network.  

‘[The book reveals] how much of an absolute s*** show it is at the WWE,’ Rousey said.

‘Because they can’t hold a sword over my head and hold me hostage with my own career. I don’t need anything from them, and I don’t intend on going back, so I can actually say everything that I think and feel, where everybody else that is still held captive by their organization cannot.

‘We were contractually held to 90,000 words, and I was going to talk so much more s***, especially about John Laurinaitis and Bruce Prichard. 

‘But our editor said we had to streamline everything and not take a detour on, like, the ‘f*** these old bastards’ quest. There was a lot more to it, but I had basically get down to the meat and potatoes in this.’

Rousey also took aim at Vince McMahon, who became centre of sex trafficking allegations early on this year and resigned from his role at TKO. 

‘It’s hard sometimes to know where the evil, unethical, slimeball character of Vince McMahon played out for the cameras ends and the actual questionably ethical, many times sued, and multiple times accused of sexual misconduct Vince McMahon begins…’ she said.  

McMahon is Rousey’s former boss and left the WWE following allegations of sex trafficking

While with WWE, Rousey competed in the first women’s match to headline WrestleMania, in a three-way bout also featuring Charlotte Flair, daughter of legendary professional wrestler Ric Flair, and Becky Lynch.

Lynch won the triple-threat contest in one of Rousey’s only pinfall loses in her time with WWE.

Rousey’s last match with WWE took place last summer against fellow former MMA competitor Shayna Baszler, who came out on top.
